Trial Databases on HeinOnline - Tell Us What You Think!

Getting to the trial libraries is easy. Simply log in to HeinOnline with your library card (or through one of our computers) and look for the red TRIAL flag next to the library. HeinOnline is available to most library card holders and everyone in our three libraries. Get to it from our Articles & Journals page.

Subject compilation of state laws

This library features a database giving you access to more than 25,000 bibliographic records from Cheryl Nyberg's Subject Compilations Bibliography Series. Many records contain extensive annotations with links directly to articles and other documents residing in HeinOnline. In addition to a searchable database, HeinOnline also includes the exact replicas of the original bound volumes.

American Indian law collection

With nearly 1,000 titles unique to this collection and more than 1.2 million total pages dedicated to American Indian Law, this library includes an expansive archive of treaties, federal statutes and regulations, federal case law, tribal codes, constitutions, and jurisprudence. This library also features rare compilations edited by Felix S. Cohen that have never before been accessible online.

American Law Institute library

Contains full runs of the Institute's Annual Reports, Proceedings, Annual Meeting Speeches, and the Institute's newsletter, The ALI Reporter. It also includes the Restatements of the Law, Uniform Commercial Code, Model Penal Code, ALI-ABA Periodicals, and the Statement of Essential Human Rights (a pioneering ALI project of the mid-1940s).

Spinelli's law library reference shelf

A collection of works, scholarly articles and tools for librarians, faculty, and students! Content includes: AALL GD-SIS State Bibliographies, AALL Publication Series, Legal Dictionaries, Serials, Cataloging Publications, Bibliographies, Bibliography of Early American Law, Legal Research Guide Series, Memorials of Law Librarians and much more.

Bar Journals

Contains 125 state and local Bar Journals. You can search by article title, author, description, date, or across the full text of the articles.         

Session laws library

This library contains the session laws of all 50 U.S. states as well as Canada, Australia, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and the D.C. Register. All states are current within 60 days of the printed publication, and all states are available back to inception.

State Attorney General reports and opinions 

Attorney General Reports & Opinions constitute, for each state, an integral element in its framework of governing law, and have the characteristics of both primary and secondary authority. This collection includes access to the State Attorney General Reports & Opinions for all fifty states as well as Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Also includes access to the Opinions of the Office of Legal Counsel of the United States Department of Justice and the Official Opinions of the Attorneys General of the United States.       

State reports: a historical archive

Provides a digital version of Hein’s State Reports Checklist along with linking to the full text of historical state reports.

State statutes: a historical archive

Includes superseded state statutes for all fifty states. Search the statutes by state, date, description and text. Coverage goes back until 1717.         

Immigration law and policy in the US

This monumental collection is a compilation of the most important historical documents and legislation related to immigration in the United States as well as current hearings, debates and recent developments in immigration law. This first comprehensive database includes BIA Precedent Decisions, legislative histories, law and policy titles, extradition titles, scholarly articles, an extensive bibliography, and other related works.
