WSLL Recommends: Art Law Books on Display

An alcove in the reading room of the library regularly features rotating book displays on a variety of topics. Our recent installation is on art law

If you're an art entrepreneur, museum professional, or represent artists, check out these books for information about the legal aspects of making and preserving music, visual art, and performing arts. If you can't make it in to the library, check out the display online. Check one out in the library or by mail with your library card

Thomas.gov retiring in July

The main source for online Federal legislative information for almost 20 years, THOMAS.gov will be retiring this upcoming July. Since 2012 information on THOMAS has slowly migrated to the new Congress.gov

The Library of Congress blog has a great post on the history of THOMAS and the transition. For longtime researchers, it's the end of an era. However, the newer Congress.gov boasts improved infrastructure, responsive design, and more tools researchers need to stay on top of the latest legislative action in Congress.
